Welcome to the 5th (& final) edition of WINTER BAY Backyard Ultra, taking place on May 1, 2026, in central Stockholm, with the start and finish at Trekantsparken, just 100 meters from the Liljeholmen subway station! The race involves running a 6.7 km loop that you repeat every hour until there is only one competitor left willing to run another loop. This event has previously had an amazing atmosphere and raised funds for the Children's Diabetes Foundation through the initiative #Run4Diabetes.
Highlights
- The first edition in 2022 was won by Mai Bui with 41 laps, which earned her a Silver Ticket to the World Championship in Backyard Ultra.
- The race has seen records with 141 runners over 7 laps and 17 runners over 24 laps in 2024.
- WINTER BAY has been chosen as a "SILVER TICKET" race in Sweden for both 2022 and 2024, giving participants a chance to qualify for the national team.
